Where the Journey began...
"It was 12:15 a.m. on the East Coast when the call came in. I was in a deep sleep. I don’t think I even heard it until the last ring. I looked to see who the call was from; it was the hospital in Plattsburgh, New York. They didn’t leave a message. I knew it meant they were calling to tell me he was there. I got up to get some water, and as I came back to bed, the phone rang again. This time it was David’s sister Kathie. I knew this wasn’t good news. She was in Houston, Texas. The Houston Astros had just won the World Series when she got the call that David, my husband of thirty years, father of our three children, had passed away.
Who I was the moment I heard the news about David’s death and who I would become in the years following is a story about transformation, discovery, and a spiritual awakening. This journey brought me into a deep relationship with my ancestors and to an awakening I didn’t know could happen. It wasn’t a journey I set out on, but one where Spirit took my hand and guided me through, and it began long before David and I had ever met…"
