How did I get started?
When my husband, David got sick, and after he passed, the grief was more than I could carry alone.
It sent me looking for comfort in the stories of my ancestors.
What I found were stories that helped me understand not only who they were, but what they had lived through and survived.
In that process I discovered who I was and what I had been carrying that wasn't mine.
And I found a resilience I did not know was in me, that came from them.
Through this the grief began to lift and the path opened.
